We are looking for a junior Onsite Support Engineer in Reinach, Switzerland to join our team on client’s side. A great opportunity to work in the IT industry with exposure to new technologies, in an international environment. The opportunity has a strong focus on service orientation and the role requires flexibility for business trips within Switzerland.

Major Accountabilities


    • Maintain the integrity of all computer workstations and associated software within the organization
    • Act as the main point of contact for employees who are experiencing technical issues using a ticketing system
    • Resolve software, hardware and device issues reported by the end users
    • Ongoing maintenance of the company's desktop infrastructure
    • Software Distribution (Preferrably Matrix42)
    • Client ZTI Configuration/Troubleshooting
    • WSUS Management
    • Intune Client Management
    • Coordination of Tickets and Software Packages between Customer and Polish delivery Team
    • Evaluation of Security vulnerabilities
    • Evaluate applications and software patches for desktop applications to see if they will solve desktop issues
    • Installation, configuration and ongoing usability of desktop hardware and software
    • Support services for Client standard technologies including basic troubleshooting of Exchange and adds/moves/changes for AD accounts
    • Troubleshoot PC connectivity issues and network elements including ISP circuits, firewalls, network switches, wireless equipment and telephone system
    • Installation of packaged software and authorized 3rd party software
    • Remote access solution (VPN) implementation and support
    • Document and update the local client environment
    • Escalate service issues when required
    • Communication with customers/end users as required, keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
    • Monitor network performance for availability, utilization and latency. Take the appropriate measures to resolve throughput issues, escalating to the support team as required
    • Oversee the maintenance and tracking of assets
    • Advise and train staff on computer operations and software applications

Skills and Requirements :

    • Good understanding of Information Technology; trends, products and solutions
    • Experience in a similar position in onsite IT Service Desk/Desktop Support 
    • Empirum M42 ticketing system knowledge desired
    • Customer focused with a passion and drive for customer satisfaction and delivering business values
    • Friendly, supportive and flexible personality with quick learning ability
    • Solid problem solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to work independently as well as willing to follow directions and best practices
    • Great communication and interpersonal skills
    • Good team player with planning and organizing skills
    • ITIL certification is an advantage
    • Fluent in English and German language
    • Successful candidates have to declare Criminal record extract not older than 3 months
